The Jewels of the Corona. Exhibition.

Collaboration in the concept and organisation of the exhibition LAS JOYAS DEL CORONA. An exhibition of contemporary jewellery, integrated in Melting Point

2014. Valencia

Concept

To place an exhibition of 30 pieces of contemporary jewellery, pieces of real and symbolic value within a space of no apparent value, the 18th century ruin-garden of the Solar Corona. Jewellery that, despite being made from recycled material, has a symbolic and artistic value. By being housed in an open-air space, a space recovered by citizens’ collectives, they give new meaning to the value of the space itself. Las Joyas del Corona speaks to us of the value of things, of the value that a found object acquires when it is worked in a precious way, as well as the value of a disused space that contains hidden treasures.
