Proposal for a new equipment in Salvador de Bahia City Center, Brasil.

The prroject is placed in a very uneven piece of land and attempts to “make city” creating a covered square for the city. Nature is a concept and a material.
A perforated reinforced concrete wall clunches to an existing dividing wall creating an stuctural axe in with a metallic stucture is fixed. Concrete spaces are a library, a newspaper library, public services, stairs and lifts. The rest of the program like study rooms, classrooms, labs, … adapts its shape to an organic shape at the the metallic roofs.

The program is built after a urban research about local needs, attempting to create a focaus of free information and local formation program for teachers in social projects at the suburbs, creating a media network.
